GTA 6 Map Leaks: What the Leaked Files Actually Show

Map leak dumps are not a Rockstar download. Folders, screenshots, and reconstructed tiles have circulated for years. This site will not host those files, embed them, or rebuild them as a playable map. What you can cite today is still the official roster on Rockstar’s VI hub: the state of Leonida, plus Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park.

If someone sent you a drive link labeled as the full GTA 6 map, treat it as stolen or reconstructed data, not a source. For named regions and the “biggest GTA map yet” line, use the map guide. For the fan rebuild, use the mapping project. For other leak waves, stay on leaks and leaked gameplay.

What leaked map files actually are

A “map leak” in this cycle usually means one of three things. First, old stolen development material that showed unfinished streets and placeholders. Second, later screenshots or clips that people treated as a finished atlas. Third, community stitches that turn trailer frames and rumor tiles into a single picture.

None of those is a Rockstar product page. None of them is a reason to keep a zip on this server. We can say that leak waves existed and that people used them to guess roads and coastlines. We will not reproduce the files, name download hosts, or paste stolen interiors as if they were patch notes.

That is a legal and editorial line, not a tease. If you want moving pictures of Vice City and the wider state, watch official uploads. Trailer 1 (December 5, 2023), Trailer 2 (May 2025), and An Extended Look (August 27, 2026) are the footage that Rockstar chose to show.

What Rockstar has named on the record

Official geography is short on purpose. Rockstar calls the setting the state of Leonida and says it is the biggest GTA map yet. It has not published square miles, drive times, or a neighborhood count.

Those six regions sit inside Leonida. Vice City is not the whole map. If a video overlays fifty extra town names, ask whether Rockstar wrote them down. If the answer is no, they do not belong on this page as facts.

Launch is still November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC is unannounced. A leak screenshot does not move that date, and it does not unlock the map early. Check the homepage countdown for the live clock.

How leaks differ from the fan mapping project

People mix these up because both produce pictures that look like maps. They are not the same object.

Leak material is unpublished development data or copies of it. Hosting it spreads someone else’s files. The mapping project is a community reconstruction: fans tracing official footage and public names into a chart they built themselves. Credit the fans. Do not treat their work as a Rockstar PDF, and do not steal their tiles for a “leak pack.”

WhenGTA6 will describe both at a high level. We will not turn either into a download button. If you want the clean official list, stay on locations and Leonida once those pages are the ones you are reading. If you want rumor labels, that is a different shelf from this guide.

Where to look instead of a dump folder

Use first-party pictures and first-party names. Rockstar and Take-Two are the companies on the box. Official trailers and the Extended Look show density, water, highways, and city life without asking you to touch a stolen archive.

After launch, store maps and in-game menus can add names. Until then, extra streets from a leak remain unverified. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026. Digital preload starts November 12, 2026. Play starts November 19. None of those dates is a map leak.

If a friend swears a file “proves” a town, ask for a Rockstar URL. If they only have a mirror, the honest status is reported community material, not confirmed geography. This page will update when Rockstar adds a name. It will not update by unzipping someone else’s hard drive.
