What is actually confirmed
GTA V’s playable land is Los Santos and Blaine County, with the water and islands that came with that generation. Rockstar has never needed to republish that for VI.
GTA VI’s setting is the state of Leonida. Officially named places include Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Trailers and the August 27, 2026 Extended Look show more streets than a press list can name. Extra streets in footage are not extra official names.

Launch is still November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The map does not unlock early.
Why “twice as big” posts fail
People want a multiplier because GTA V trained them to argue about size. A multiplier needs two measured areas from the same publisher. We do not have that.
A YouTuber tracing trailer roads is doing fan work. Useful as curiosity. Useless as a citation. The mapping project page explains that distinction so we do not steal community maps or treat them as Rockstar files.
If Rockstar later posts a size figure, this URL gets the number and a date. Until then, “biggest yet” is the whole official size story.
How the two maps feel different on paper
GTA V is one metro plus countryside in a single Southern California fiction. VI is a Florida-inspired state with more than one named urban and rural center. That is a layout change, not a tape-measure change.
Vice City is the name most people remember from the trailers. It is not a shortcut for “the whole map.” What is Leonida and locations keep the named list so this versus page does not turn into a second encyclopedia.
Density is also unpublished. A bigger outline with empty fields would still satisfy “biggest yet.” Do not assume downtown Vice City is packed like a 1:1 Miami scan. Rockstar has not published a density spec.
