Not confirmed. Rockstar has not announced a 60 FPS mode, a performance mode, or a resolution target for Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or anywhere else. WhenGTA6 will not read a frame rate out of trailer footage and call it official.

The $79.99 USD price and the November 19, 2026 date are real. They still are not a performance slide. If you are choosing hardware, use platforms for what is named, not this page for what is hoped.

Why a trailer cannot answer this

Official videos and screenshots show the world — Vice City, Leonida, Jason and Lucia. They do not publish engine settings. Encoded YouTube or social clips are even further from a console’s output. Treat “it looks like 60” as opinion, not a specification.

The same rule applies to 30 FPS claims. Unconfirmed in both directions.

PS5 Pro is a separate unconfirmed sentence

A Pro console is still a PlayStation 5-family machine, and GTA VI is confirmed for PS5. That does not confirm Pro-only modes, extra frame-rate headroom, or a reason to upgrade only for this title. If you already own a PS5, WhenGTA6 has no official enhancement list that says you must replace it.

Series X, Series S, and “it will be 60 on the stronger box”

Xbox Series X and Series S are both on the official launch line as Xbox Series X|S. That is a platform confirmation. It is not a per-SKU frame-rate sheet. WhenGTA6 will not invent a Series S target to make the sentence feel complete. If Rockstar later posts different modes per console, those rows get added as confirmed. Until then, “the stronger one is obviously 60” is opinion.

What people treat as proof — and why we don’t

File size is also unannounced. People sometimes argue “it must be 30 because the world is huge.” Leonida being the biggest map yet is a Rockstar description, not a performance budget.

What WhenGTA6 will not claim

Crossplay is unannounced. GTA Online for VI at launch is unannounced. None of those gaps fill in a frame rate. WhenGTA6 will change the lead sentence the day a tier-1 source prints a number. Until then the lead stays not confirmed.
