Rockstar posts stills with the trailers and with product beats. Trailer 1 (December 5, 2023) and Trailer 2 (May 2025) each shipped official images of Leonida, Vice City, Jason Duval, and Lucia Caminos. Later site updates added more named-region shots. If a blog claims “50 new screenshots” and the files are cropped TikTok frames, those are not a press kit.
Start at the official VI hub. If the image is not there, on Newswire, or in an official social post from Rockstar, treat it as unofficial. Artwork covers key art and cover treatment. Wallpapers covers desktop use of the same first-party pool.

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look landed August 27, 2026, first on Netflix around 3pm ET, then on YouTube and the site around 9pm ET. Fans call that Trailer 3. Rockstar titled it an Extended Look. It is gameplay captured on PS5, about 26 minutes. Frame grabs from that film are stills of official footage. They are not a separate screenshot pack Rockstar numbered for press.
Fake stills versus the Extended Look
AI composites and GTA V mods dressed as VI stills circulate every week. Tell-tale signs: warped text on signs, cars that keep GTA V handling cameras, and captions that say “insider drop” with no Rockstar URL. The leaked gameplay page is the fake-video twin of this article.
