You cannot play Grand Theft Auto VI at Tokyo Game Show 2026. PlayStation Japan confirmed a dedicated booth theater that screens Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on a 300-inch screen, with Sony floor haptics matched to the picture and sound. The video is the same official footage Rockstar posted on August 27, 2026.

That is a cinema setup, not a hands-on build. If you are searching for a TGS demo, the honest answer is no.

What Sony actually announced

The PlayStation Blog post for the Tokyo booth, dated September 10, 2026, puts GTA VI in a theater block, not in the playable-reservation table.

Business days are September 17-18, 10:00 to 17:00. Public days are September 19-21, opening at 9:30 (the 21st closes at 16:00). Those hours come from the same PlayStation Japan post.

The Extended Look guide is the standing writeup of that footage. The Trailer 3 page exists because people search that nickname. Rockstar’s title card is still An Extended Look.

The playable list does not include GTA 6

PlayStation Plus members in Japan can reserve booth playtime through September 16 at 23:59, first come, first served, on a Japan-region account. The posted playable titles are:

  • Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance
  • Final Fantasy VII Revelation
  • Marvel’s Wolverine
  • ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE

Grand Theft Auto VI is not in that column. Same-day tickets for those other games are planned on site. None of that is a GTA 6 session.

Sony’s booth copy also repeats the November 19 launch and describes Vice City and Leonida. That is marketing language for a game you already knew was coming. It is not a new systems list.

Why this still matters

A 300-inch screen with a floor that shakes is a bigger room for footage people have already argued about for two weeks. It is not a new trailer, not a gameplay embargo, and not proof of 60 FPS, file size, or GTA Online at launch.

It does tell you where Sony is spending booth space with 69 days on the clock. PlayStation is pairing the longest official look with hardware theater tech, then handing out a limited shirt. Rockstar is not putting a playable Leonida build on a show floor.

If you want the official video at home, use Rockstar’s VI hub. A phone clip from the TGS aisle is not a new source.

The other live marketing story this week is civic, not a trade show: Miami Beach voted to negotiate Vice City branding on beach chairs. Different continent. Different intent. Same November 19 target.

The full trailer stack still ends with the Extended Look. TGS does not add a fourth official video. It adds a room in Chiba that plays the third one louder.

Launch remains November 19, 2026. The countdown does not move because a floor vibrates in Makuhari Messe.
