GTA 6 DualSense Controllers Cost $84.99. Pre-Orders Open Today

Sony opened pre-orders today for two official Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense pads. Each one costs $84.99 USD. They ship starting November 19, 2026. They do not include the game.

That is the hardware news. The campaign is still a separate checkout at $79.99 Standard or $99.99 Ultimate. The standing PS5 game page is the PS5 pre-order guide.

What Sony actually announced

PlayStation Blog published the first look on September 3, 2026, after a State of Play. The official names are:

• DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition
• DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition

Both pads use a shimmering, color-shifting finish that Sony ties to a Vice City sunset and neon. Both mold palm-tree details into the shell and carry official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. White is described as daybreak, pale sand, pastel sky. Black is described as nightlife.

Sony did not publish a battery spec, a unique button layout, or an in-game unlock tied to either color.

Price, pre-order clock, and launch day

PlayStation Direct is listed for the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, and Austria. Portugal is pointed at playstation.com/store/hardware. Eligible Direct pre-orders get free launch-day delivery. The same blog says exact launch date and availability can still vary by country.

This is not the November 12 game preload. A controller in a box does not download Leonida.

White is wider. Black is tighter.

Sony split the stores on purpose.

The white pad is sold in limited quantities globally on direct.playstation.com and at participating retailers.

The black pad is sold in limited quantities exclusively through PlayStation Direct where that store exists, and through select retailers in other regions.

Treat “limited” as Sony’s word, not a stock counter. WhenGTA6 will not invent a restock calendar.

This is not a collector’s edition and not a console bundle

People will search “GTA 6 collector” the minute a themed pad shows up. Rockstar still has not sold a Collector, Deluxe, or Premium game SKU. That answer stays on the collector’s edition page.

PlayStation’s June 24 blog said GTA 6 “plays best on PS5” and pointed shoppers at a regular PS5 or PS5 Pro. It did not announce a themed console. Retailer bundles that toss a pad in with a console are shop extras, not a Rockstar hardware line.

If you want the game itself, use the pre-order hub. If you want the pad, use PlayStation Direct or a retailer listing that matches the official DualSense names.

DualSense features in the game are not exclusive to these colors

The September 3 post repeats the June 24 PlayStation line: haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and the built-in speaker are part of how GTA 6 is meant to feel on PS5. Tempest 3D AudioTech and the PS5 SSD are console features, not paint jobs on a pad.

None of that is a 60 FPS promise. None of it is a reason Xbox players are locked out of the campaign. Launch platforms are still PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC is still unannounced.

Confirmed vs not in the announcement

If Sony moves the Direct clock or adds a console SKU, this news record stays dated and the PS5 pre-order guide gets the new product row.
