What time does GTA VI unlock?

Rockstar confirmed November 19, 2026, not a complete worldwide unlock schedule. WhenGTA6 still needs a timestamp for the countdown, so it uses midnight Eastern Time on that date and marks it as a documented assumption. If your store later shows a different hour, the store wins.

What is official, and what is WhenGTA6’s clock?

Official: the calendar date and the two launch platforms (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S), on Rockstar’s VI site.

Not official: a published table of “unlocks at 00:00 in every territory.” That table does not exist as of the last verification on this page.

WhenGTA6’s working timestamp is November 19, 2026, 12:00 a.m. Eastern. In November, the eastern United States is on standard time (UTC−5), so that instant is 2026-11-19T05:00:00.000Z.

If midnight Eastern holds, what does that look like locally?

These conversions are conditional. They apply only if the WhenGTA6 assumption is correct. They are not Rockstar’s published hours.

Pacific landing on November 18 is the usual “west coast plays the night before” effect. It is still the same instant as midnight Eastern. It is not a second official date.

Why WhenGTA6 will not invent a store-by-store chart

Retailers and console stores sometimes post their own countdowns in the final weeks. Until those numbers exist in public storefront UI, listing them as fact would be fiction. WhenGTA6 would rather show one labeled assumption than twenty unlabeled guesses.

The same rule applies to preload. November 12, 2026 is the official day. An exact preload minute is not in the confirmed set.

How this interacts with preload and physical copies

Preload starting November 12 does not unlock the campaign. A disc or a download-code box dated November 12 exists so the install can begin. Playable access still tracks November 19 plus whatever hour your platform actually uses.

If someone claims a global simultaneous unlock, or a staggered “each country at midnight local,” treat both as unconfirmed until Rockstar or a platform holder posts it.
