Not confirmed. Rockstar has not announced a first-person camera option for Grand Theft Auto VI. Official trailers and screenshots are marketing footage, not a graphics menu. WhenGTA6 will not treat a prior GTA camera as automatically present in VI.

The November 19, 2026 launch does not automatically publish a camera menu. Confirmed features is the short list this question should be checked against.

What we can say without guessing

Rockstar has confirmed dual protagonists — Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos — in Leonida and Vice City. That is character and setting information. It is not a list of camera modes.

Public trailer shots often look third-person. That does not prove first-person is absent. It also does not prove a toggle exists. Both “yes, like last time” and “they dropped it” are unconfirmed until Rockstar says so.

Why “the last game had it” is not a VI spec

Series history is not a patch note. WhenGTA6’s allowed GTA V fact on this site is the September 17, 2013 release date, used for wait math. It is not a license to import every V option into VI and mark it confirmed.

If a creator posts a “leaked graphics menu,” it is a rumor until it matches first-party copy. Read how those get rated.

Dual protagonists do not answer the camera question

Jason and Lucia are confirmed leads. Official media shows both. That still does not document:

WhenGTA6 will not infer a camera suite from a cut that looks over a shoulder. Over-the-shoulder is a trailer composition.

Common “proofs” that fail the bar

A hood cam or a mirror shot in a trailer is cinematography. A pause-menu mockup with no Rockstar URL is a rumor. “V had it, so VI has it” imports a previous game.

If an outlet reports a briefing, WhenGTA6 can mark that reported. It still does not become confirmed until rockstargames.com/VI or an equivalent first-party note says it.

Nearby features that are actually shown

Basketball appears in official trailer footage. Vehicle customization shops appear in official screenshots. Those belong on the confirmed features list. Camera mode does not.

When this page changes, the first paragraph changes with it. Until a tier-1 line exists, the answer stays not confirmed.
